Perfect fit for my bath tap, ensure you know the height/ length of the valve cartridge, so the tap handle,lever fits back on without any excess gapping between the body of the bath tap body.

So my experience with a dripping bath tap that started a few days ago has been a bit of a nightmare. As the vendor says, there is no standard sizing with these things. There are countless different versions of these cartridges, the one I'm replacing has no markings whatsoever to indicate manufacturer or part number so you end up eyeballing dozens of these things, and then fiddling about with your ruler trying to see if what you're buying will match what you're taking out. We're encouraged to measure carefully, but the truth is the differences between what I've bought and what I've taken out are so small that I can't tell, even looking at the physical cartridges side by side, what the issue is. But the new one leaked - actually worse than the one it was replacing. I don't blame the vendor for this, I think the situation with these cartridges in general is crazy and they're doing their best to offer guidance. The product seems well made and value for money.So measure very very carefully. Even then it's a bit of a lottery sadly. The vendor mentioned the seating distance so I assumed this was probably the issue. Side by side, the seating depth on the new and old one appears identical to me, but a tenth of a milimeter is like a mile to water trying to find a way out. What I've ended up doing is putting a bead of plumbers gold around the bottom gasket and by some miracle this appears to have worked. So you might try that. Obviously it's a complete bodge but I can't just keep buying plausible cartridges until one happens to fit.

Have ordered this exact item a couple of times previously with no issue. This time once fitted the tap still dripped. After much messing about I realised that the red end ‘washer’ has been re designed and now has a smaller diameter which, in my taps, caused it to drip slightly. Having taken the end of a previous version and fitted it to this problem is solved but worth noting it’s now different.
