DAYUAN Rear Swinging Arm Bush Removal/Installation Tool Compatible for Fiesta MK7

Fitted a pair of bushes this morning with no real problems. Keeping the bushes straight at the start is the hardest part. I actually buffed a bit of the outer casing and put a slight bevel on the end to aid location. The cup and two plates are good quality, the threaded bar is probably the weak part but it extracted and fitted two bushes this morning....I actually bought a 1m length of high tensile 10mm threaded bar from my local nut and bolt shop just in case, 1m would make 4-5 new bars, it cost £3. Saying that the original bar should do at least another pair....I was quite hard on mine and used an impact wrench to drive the bushes in and out....Good tool at a fraction of the price of the Laser branded tool (£170-£220).... Overall very happy with it.

As with a lot of Mk6 and 7 Fiesta owners, I've had to deal with the rear suspension bushings. now I'll apply myself to completing this review without swearwords.The tool itself is metal construction, fits where it should and works to extract even the stubborn bushings from the swingarm. However, for me, it was fitting the new ones that the issues appeared. The passenger side wasn't much trouble at all, but on the drivers side it became such a struggle to press the bushing into place that it stripped the threaded rod on one end. Even after cleaning the cuff and slightly tapering the fitting edge on the bushing case with a file and applying light amounts of vegetable oil to help. I'm guessing I must have gone way past 80 newtons to tighten it each turn of the wrench in order to compress the bushing into place. The threaded rod should have been up to that level of stress and it only just managed to the point of sacrificing itself in the process. Fortunately I completed the job hardest part last. Now though, if I need to repeat it, this tool can't unless I replace the threaded rod.So, it did work, but only just about. However - for the cost of replacing the threaded rod to make it reusable, it's still vastly cheaper than having a garage charge upwards of £200 for the same job.One more thing to bear in mind is the higher you can lift your car, the better (and more comfortably) off you are completing this job. Was looking at making my own but not much cheaper so bought the kit. Looking at reviews the threaded nuts seemed suspect so bought a couple of long threaded nuts (used to couple studs) instead of supplied nuts and glad I did - worked a treat. Was surprised how easily they came out and first one went back in easily but second kept tilting (like other reviews). Eventually reversed one of the cups so could adjust angle which helped. No instructions so had to guess a bit but kit worked well, just buy a few long nuts before using (couple of £)

Used to replace the rear swing arm bushes on my son’s 2012 Fiesta Mk7. Once I’d figured out how to use it, cup on the outside with the smaller disc at the back to remove, and cup to the rear with the larger disc to the outside for the replacement. It did a fantastic job and made the replacement of the bushes very easy. As suggested, I don’t think the treads will last forever but will be fine for several uses and could easily be replaced when needed. Would recommend for occasional use and definitely worth the price.

I was really surprised how effective this was. No more drilling, burning and hitting the bush out. The old bush came out nice and easy, the new one went in like a dream. Can certainly recommend. Saved £400 by doing the job myself.
