Must have accessory for a steam deck
If you play your steam deck with a dock, connected to your tv, this is a MUST BUY controller. It has all the same buttons as a steam deck and I was blown away that this controller can wake up your steam deck or put it to sleep by holding down the steam button! This wasn’t expected and helps make the steam deck more like a viable alternative to other consoles. The steam horipad controller also provides gyro controls and have touch sensitive sticks(for the few games that use this feature). It can be used on a regular pc if you like but I wouldn’t buy it for that, this is best for Steam Deck because it’s designed for it.The only cons I can think of are there is no rumble and the controller feels very light and feels like a cheaper plastic than many others. Don’t worry though, the build quality seems very good and I like the feel of the controller in my hand, it’s very ergonomic. The sticks and buttons seem really good too, although the buttons are a little bigger than I’m used to.Don’t listen to reviewers on YouTube, you NEED this for your steam deck. The lack of rumble is not a big deal and this controller works so well with steam deck that you won’t want anything else!

A great Steam Controller, but lacking Premium Feeling and Functionality for the price.
The entire reason why I bought this controller was due to the Xbox Controller not functioning well with Steam in regards to Screenshots, and that 99.9% of Controllers on the market lack a dedicated SteamInput function to customize the Back Buttons unless you pay a 300$ price for an Xbox Elite. Enter in this controller and I was surprised to know it was licensed by Steam, it has two dedicated front Buttons below the controller an M1 and an M2 for custom inputs on Steam Controller settings alongside the Two Back Buttons can be customized as well without needing a 3rd party Program. It's plug in Controller go to Steam Launcher and set it up and play. This is a great Steam Controller, everything works as you would expect it to in Big Picture Mode. I hope more Controller Manufacturers look to this layout and function when making their own Steam Controller. There truly needs to be more like it on the market despite any negative review. Now the reason why I have to knock it down two stars is due to the value for the money, it lacks functions other Controllers would usually have at this price point, it does not have Rumble even though it says it does and I enabled it, the feeling of the controller is extremely light weight, the tactile feeling when grasping the sides of the controller is just ok, Bluetooth is not the best. Other than that, I will keep using the controller because it's still a good purchase for those in my scenario, but I hope Hori can take feedback and improve on the controller for their next iteration.

The Unofficial Wired Steam Deck Controller 🎮
tl;dr: Most people seem to dislike this controller, albeit over lack of features such as rumble or a touchpads - or Bluetooth gyro input delays. Personally, I like it as a Steam Deck controller but I definitely wouldn't put it in the same league as the Steam Controller and might as well wait for the official one if you're in this boat.I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this controller since it wasn't an official Steam Controller and I personally exclusively use the Steam Controller with my Steam Deck as it's the only controller I've been comfortable using but surprisingly it actually has been a great alternative or maybe even a better companion to the Steam Deck in my opinion with how the buttons and joysticks are laid out.I do have to mention the Bluetooth/gyro issues, as these practically make this a wired controller unless you don't play FPS's or don't mind having a slight delay with gyro but it's a bit disappointing that they even released this controller in this state or to use their own proprietary adapter similar to the Steam Controller - which if I was comparing the delay it's definitely worse than the Steam Controller with Bluetooth if you're familiar with one.I am using this controller full-time now as a replacement to my Steam Controller's and I love having the capacitive touch on the joysticks similar to the Steam Deck, it makes it easier to switch between the different control layouts. I was needing a new controller, or to attempt replacing the joysticks on my Steam Controllers as they've been worn down to the nubs so this HORIPAD will do nicely. At least until Valve officially releases an updated Steam Controller 2... 😉

Bad controller, bad support.
Controller malfunctioned and almost blew up, melted the entire usb port on the controller. I tried contacting customer support on the matter in which they asked for pictures and after I sent them they did not respond back to me and refuse to respond to any emails. I always used the controller with the usb cord it came with and always put them away when I finished using so I know nothing had been damaged beforehand. Definitely a waste of money and I wish I was able to get it back.

Good fallback controller for the average PC gamer
Affordable controller with good make. Some complained about it "feeling cheap" but it feels great to me coming from a PowerA controller — the buttons feel especially good. I will say I do wish it had rumble capability or gyro controls since those were features I was missing from said PowerA, but those would add to the price. I also feel like the paint for the buttons faded a bit quick, but that might just be my bad maintenance and excessive mashing talking. The switch on the back to swap between Steam/Bluetooth and XInput/Wired is super useful, and the digital to analog switch for triggers is a godsend for games that need it. Well worth!
