Work well, easy installation, hold well, laces don’t drag on the floor
The media could not be loaded. This lacing system works really well, simple install. This lacing system turns even mid height boots into slip ons which is very convenient. These locking laces stretch snugly to keep the shoe secure and are a LOT more hygienic at the gym than standard laces. These locking laces can be trimmed to keep them off the floor. My new go to gym shoes have standard laces and they keep getting untied regardless of how tightly I lace and tie them. Great shoes, lousy laces! These new locking laces are a great concept that is well executed in reality and are the ideal fix for my purposes which was to prevent laces from untying, dragging on filthy floors and making all my hoots “slip ons”.I used a different, lighter color locking lace on my Icebug tungsten stud boots to easily differentiate them from my non-studded boots. If you’re not familiar with Icebug studded boots, they have tungsten carbide studs for traction in ice and snow and are a must for me in my location. The issue with Icebug studded boots is that that they will scratch or damage ANY indoor floor in seconds, hence the lighter colored laces to tell them apart from non-studded boots. My only “con” was not seeing the 2 pack for $17.99. I spent $11.99 for one pair. I wound up buying 6 pair of locking laces.Easy install and universal fit on most low to medium boots. Best shoe/boot upgrade for my purposes!

Always Work Great!
I really can’t say enough good things about Lock Laces. I’ve purchased them for practically every pair of lace up shows that I own. As soon as I get a new pair of shoes or boots I immediately order Lock Laces for them. This pair went on a pair of Keen hiking shoes. They’re easy to install, last a LONG time (I’ve never had a pair wear out), make putting shoes on and off much faster and NEVER come untied! I highly recommend them.

The Best
Installed these in a pair of 8in Rocky boots and the length is almost perfect, only had to trim about 3in. I've tried other brands similar to Lock Laces but these are the best I have used for overall performance, especially durability.

great concept
The laces are overall really good. They feel great on the feet and they make putting on boots and some shoes a breeze.Be generous with the length of the tie. I installed them on some boots and didn't leave enough tie length to be able to get the boots off. You gotta leave enough length to ease the tightness and pull your foot out - especially if you have bigger feet.

Lock Laces make a mighty fine cat toy too!
I installed these Lock Laces on a brand new pair of hiking shoes, and they work fine. The funny thing is that the shoe didn't fit so well for me, so I ended up returning it. Of course I removed my Lock Laces before returning the shoe, but that's when my cats caught me taking the laces off, and they started going crazy over the Lock Laces! So instead of going onto another pair of shoes, my Lock Laces are now officially chased by my cats every night in place of their regular feather wand toy which they have lost interest in!

Nice laces. Great concept
Love these laces. Going to order more. Makes taking boots on and off a breeze. Great concept. Easy to put on. Took me about two minutes. Good quality. Seems like they will last awhile. Hold their elasticity well. Not sure how they would do after get wet a couple times. Adjustable tie length makes them perfect for any boot. Solid black is a good color choice. Would be nice to see them in brown or desert tan.

Decent product, but couldn’t secure heel in boot
I purchased these laces to try something new for my ice skates (which lace like typical boots). I need significant tension through the laces, especially around the ankle to keep the heel seated, so I wanted a product that could hold tension as I progressively retighten my laces.Pro:- This is a simple concept and easy to use.- Nice solid black color.Con:- the laces will come with aglets that you must cut off to get the length you want, leaving the ends frayed which is why you need the clasp at the end of the laces. It didn’t feel very secure to me, and it was a bit hard to gauge how much of the laces were actually in the clasp before closing it. I found myself wondering how long it would take the laces to fray away out of the clutch of the clasp.- the “lace lock” is fairly good quality in terms of spring strength to hold the laces, but kind of missed the mark with me. The “lock” is so thin that the amount of pressure required to press open the slots to string the laces through often resulted in simply flipping the lock around in my fingers. Despite that, the lock would not hold the laces in place when I needed to tighten the laces VERY snugly.- In my case, there are hooks that line the height of tall boot after the ankle, so the lock made most sense placed over the base of the ankle, with free length of lace to wrap over hooks before securing the end clasp out of the way. This caused some concern because the button to open the lace lock (and loosen the laces if needed) is on top of the lace lock, so if you are using the lace lock to hold tension near your ankle, be wary the bending forward through the lower leg could potentially slacken the laces by pressing that button. It seems like this wouldn’t be a big concern if you‘ll be placing the lock at the top of the boot though.- the ultimate thing that made this a “no-go” for me was that no matter how I laced (I spent almost 2 hours trying different methods) I couldn’t get my heel to stay seated in the boot. I could feel my heel lift no matter what I did. In ice-skates this is a huge issue for stability, but in regular boots it might become a callous/friction issue.- the packaging is generally dark with a glossy and reflective surface, so its a bit hard to read and see finer details.Overall, I thought it was a decent product, and I would even consider trying it again if I ever needed laces such as these for typical boots. That said, I already found a similar “no tie, bungee” lace that I liked better in the Caterpy brand. It held tension perfectly through the ankle, but the problem I had with Caterpy has been that they don’t have boot length laces. I could only lace to the ankle so they didn’t work out. But supposedly they will be introducing a longer product soon, so I would likely try that before coming back to this brand again.
