This is the key to unlocking my inner cake-decorating genius.” Spoiler alert: I was *so* wrong. I lied to myself hard that day.I pulled my cakes from the oven, let them cool down (you know, like a responsible baker), and placed them carefully on my cake tray. Now, this cake tray is *smooth* like, butter-smooth. It spins effortlessly, giving you full control for rotating your cake without breaking a sweat. So far, so good. But then I went to the next step.I grabbed one of the plastic piping bags and inserted a metal decorating tip (as the kit suggests). I was feeling pretty confident.. until I started icing the cake. Immediately, I realized something was seriously wrong. The icing wasn’t coming out smoothly through the metal tip; it was going everywhere. Instead of graceful, beautiful swirls, I got a mess of frosting dripping out the back of the bag. This wasn’t a cake, this was an icing crime scene.In that moment, I learned a very important lesson: maybe I should’ve watched a YouTube tutorial or read the instructions first. It turns out, the metal decorating tip goes INSIDE the piping bag, not on the outside (who knew, right?). If I’d done that, my icing probably wouldn’t have been trying to escape the bag like it was in some sort of frosting jailbreak.But hey, the cake tasted amazing, which I suppose is the most important thing, especially since this cake was for my mother-in-law’s birthday. I’m pretty sure she won’t let me forget that monstrosity of a cake for at least the next decade.The good news? The kit was really great regardless of how hard I failed. The layer cutting tool was foolproof. It helped me slice those cake layers evenly and easily—no mess, no fuss. Even I couldn’t mess that part up! The smoothing tools, while not miracle workers, at least helped the cake look like a slightly-melted but still edible cake, rather than something out of a horror movie.Bottom line: I’m definitely going to keep using this kit. I might not be ready for cake-decorating stardom just yet, but I’ll get there.. eventually. So if you’re new to cake decorating like me, take it from me: don’t start with a birthday cake for your mother-in-law. You’ll thank me later.

Overall good quality piping tips, the spatulas and cake rotator work as they should. However the cake leveler is very dull and very flimsy. I will order a separate leveler after I do some research. However, this would make a make a really good buy for someone just starting out.

The kit contains everything you need for cake making. I made my first tired cake using this set and had great results. I didn't use everything but had everything I need to make a cake. The spinning base worked well and used it to display the cake. The metal hand tools were very useful. I use the flat plastic tool to smooth the sides. Overall great value and useful set. Great value compared to trying to find all these pieces and buy separately lately at the craft store

I’m pleased with my purchase. This kit has everything I need to attempt decorating a cake. The kit includes a turntable, a straight and an offset spatula, a cake leveler (super handy), disposable icing bags and reusable bags with a coupler and several various icing tips. Great assortment of useful tools at a reasonable price point.I’m a beginner and didn’t want to invest a lot of money and the tools seem to be good quality, and the kit has a QR Code for a video course and eBook that are quite helpful.

my daughters 16th birthday turned out great bcs of this, the buttercream was an issue but thats not the fault of the tips provided

My order come in but they missing so many items.In the box don’t have : 1 offset spatula, 24 icing tips, 30 disposable bags.

Exactly as expected made the process much easier
