Is the turkey tail just the "fruiting" part or does it include the rooting part too?

Regarding your questions, we use a water-based extract process as we’ve found this gives us the best consistency and effectiveness.  The ratios do vary based on the mushrooms and the batch.  As a reference point, our hero mushroom in Critical Immune Defense is a very special Turkey Tail mushroom, and that ratio is 20:1.  So that means we use 20 pounds of the whole fruiting body mushrooms to derive one pound of extract powder.

Are these mushroom grown on wood or grains?

Our mushrooms are of the highest quality to maintain the specifications and standardization of Polysaccharides, Peptides and other nutrients.  They are grown via liquid culture cultivation process in an enclosed stainless-steel tank (also known as a bio-reactor).  The bio-reactor is partially filled with water and filled with nutrients that are usually a mixture of grains such as non-GMO soybeans, yeast and glucose.  That is how the mushrooms are grown.
