I use this to transport food to a church fellowship where we contribute and share a meal. I can turn it on to heat cold food or keep hot food hot. The temperature control is Manual but works fine. The plastic lid for travel works well. There is a supplied case that is somewhat insulated for protection and travel that does a good job. The pot is good for at least 6 quarts of food. I have used the warmer to thaw and heat frozen food. It is pretty fast. It stores well in the case This is a good set up. I would buy it again.

Easy and light weight to use. Gave my crock pot away. Plus makes cheese sandwiches perfect, something the crock couldn't do.

I had a Westbend slow cooker for almost 20 years that I needed an upgrade so i purchased model 87906R. While the slow cooker is on it makes popping and cracking noises. I am affraid to leave it on when not home because of this. My old one, i would put dinner in when i left for work and dinner was ready when i got home. I do not feel comfortable doing that with this cooker because of the noise. I browned some meat on low with it on top of my stove and it made my burner red and the coating on the slow cooker has bubbles in it after only 5 times using it. I would not recommend it. I submitted a claim on the Westbend wedsite. I am still waiting on a response.Update: i was contacted by Westbend, they ask for a picture of the cord cut and my shipping information. Once I sent that information i have not been contacted since and that has been 6 days. So now I had to submit another clain to find out my status.UPDATE #2After waiting 12 days i got on the Westbend website chat to ask my status of my claim. That afternoon i was contacted by phone and told they would send me a replacement unit but i had to pay $14.99 for shipping. So i paid the shipping and recieved my replacement unit. I took it out of the box and noiced the pot is rusty or the coating is not right. So i am back to contacting about the replacement. I would not recommend purchasing this cooker in any color.

This cooker is great: it's a grill (remove the top pan), and a slow cooker. I often throw 3-4 sweet potatoes into it and 3 hours later, they are done. We've made chili and soup in it as well. We love it. This would be great in a camper, as it is multi use.

I love this slow cooker. I ordered it in blue. I love that you can sear your roast in it and then slow cook it in the same pot.The first time I used it the inside got scratches on it from the utensils I used to stir. Yes I know you're not supposed to use metal but I was very gentle and it still scratched.Then later on I noticed a scratch on the blue paint on the outside. It's very sad because I really love this item. Just have to get used to the scratches I guess.I gave it four stars for the scratches.

I brought this from overseas because I like this so much better than the other type crockpot. You can cook in the pot on your stove top and then transfer it to the heating element.

I used this pot for over 2 months. And at first the base made a ticking louse noise and it sounded like it was over heating. But after 2 uses that noise stopped. Pro: this is the a good small size with non stick coating and that it has setting low medium and high. It also comes with a traveling bag which I did not use but it serves well for agitating the pot. The lid fits well over the pot.Con: the inside blistered in two places but did not peel. It washes okOverall I would recommend it once you pass this little bump. I also own the magic mill 8 qt. Which is much bigger. This pot helps for a smaller meal prep.

This is an excellent cooker for a group; it can go to a potluck easily thanks to the travel lid and thermal carrying case. Having a base that can function as a cooking surface is a bonus, and has saved my proverbial bacon on a couple of occasions. The cooking vessel does well in the dishwasher, and the base wipes clean easily with a bit of spray cleaner and a damp paper towel. The size allows me to take enough of my particular dish for a good-sized crowd to have plenty. It is probably going to be a strong contender for my gift to the next bride-to-be or college-bound or new-home-buyer member of my family.
